With so much competition on the internet; business owners are turning to search engine optimization to increase traffic to their website and getting to the top of Google. Search engine optimization increases the quality and amount of traffic to your website from search engines like Google, when using a proven system.

There are mainly two kinds of search results in any search engine:

• Pay Per Click
• Organic results

Pay per click is displayed much like an advertisement. It is seen on the right side of your screen on a Google search engine page. You bid on Keywords or a search term for a specific amount per click by users searching your keywords. This form of search engine marketing drives traffic to your site quickly, but can be costly if you don’t choose your keywords correctly. An organic search is when you search for a specific keyword or key phrases.

So Why is it important to be on the top of Google? According to Georgia Tech University about 50% of traffic comes from first two organic results. Not only have that 75% of traffic come from 1^st Page. So it is very important to be on the first page of a search engine.

The most important factor is choosing right keyword. Check out Google’s Search Based Keyword Tool to find relevant keywords for your business.

There are mainly two ways to get Search Engine Optimization.

1.    On Page Optimization

2.    Off Page Optimization

On Page Optimization: On Page optimization is what you say on your site. You need to make your site relevant to your business or niche you are focusing on. There are fairly simple ways to get on page optimization done. You can add Title, Meta Tags, Header Tags and Images Tags. On page optimization alone will not help you. You do have to build incoming links to your site and that brings to

Off Page Optimization: Off page optimization is done through link building. More incoming links you have coming in from other high authority sites it’s better for your site. Also, creating content relevant to keywords you want to get optimized for also helps and distributing this content to high authority sites will bring you lots of quality and relevant links back to your website.

Getting Traffic to your website is single most challenge most of internet marketers face. There are mainly two ways to drive traffic to your website:

1. Paid
2. Organic

I focus on organic traffic. I believe that it’s a great long term strategy. Paid traffic is always good and quick to get. Organic traffic takes some work (time) or money to make it work. So essentially it’s not really free but it’s free compare to paying per click or impression or view.

Definition of success is very personal; everyone defines it based on their personal goals and circumstances. Internet Marketing Success is also very personal.
