In Internet age and specially with web 2.0 and web 3.0 technologies; there are various ways to drive traffic to a website. In this post I’m going to discuss how you can use Article, Press Release and Video Marketing to drive traffic to your website.

Article Marketing

Article Marketing is the first option for creating search engine optimization. Articles are written with specific keywords in relation to your product, industry, and or business and submitted on one or more of 100’s of Article directories. When you write new content within your niche, your essentially build branding of yourself to be known as an expert in your field or niche. Not to mention the search engines love new and relevant content. Researching and choosing the correct keywords will help you to get a high search engine ranking and bring you closer to ultimate search engine optimization

Press Release Marketing

Online PR marketing is a strategy used in which you write a PR about the news events happening within your niche, your product, your service or your blog. Online PR marketing is a great way to get your information listed on lots of news sites such as google news and yahoo news. News stories contain fresh information about your topic and this helps your search engine optimization because search engines like new and relevant content. You do not have to be an expert writer to write a PR about your product, service, or blog. Just be sure it’s newsworthy. The most important reason for writing a PR is to get search engine optimization.

Video Marketing

Create a video: You Tube is a video sharing site and can help you in the creation of a video. Video has become vital in online marketing and search engine optimization for businesses and creates a strong visual impression for potential clients. You can create a series of simple short “how-to” videos that provide information and refer people back to your website. Choosing an optimized title and tagging your videos with keywords that you want to get ranked for will drive traffic to your site while providing search engine optimization. Many of us are visual when it comes to choosing who we do business with. Videos are a powerful visual tool. So, you can see why creating a short 3-5 minute video to inform potential clients and distributing it so important to drive traffic back to your site and increase your search engine optimization.

Power Of Slideshare.net

Have you used slideshare.net? If not then you need to seriously think about using it. I’m so estatic with results I’ve achieved using slideshare.net in just 24 hours. I had uploaded my powerpoint presentation on slideshare.net on March 18th and within few hours I got an email from slideshare.net mentioning my slides being “featured” on How-to/DIY section on slideshare. Check out my presentation it’s a 3rd Presentation.

So far within 24 hours I’ve total of 74 Views and 12 downloads. I’m so excited with this results is that I’m going to do more testing on Slideshare.net and will figure out what is the conversion ratio for traffic who goes to slideshare.

Search Engine Optimization: How Does It Work?

With so much competition on the internet; business owners are turning to search engine optimization to increase traffic to their website and getting to the top of Google. Search engine optimization increases the quality and amount of traffic to your website from search engines like Google, when using a proven system.

There are mainly two kinds of search results in any search engine:

• Pay Per Click
• Organic results

Pay per click is displayed much like an advertisement. It is seen on the right side of your screen on a Google search engine page. You bid on Keywords or a search term for a specific amount per click by users searching your keywords. This form of search engine marketing drives traffic to your site quickly, but can be costly if you don’t choose your keywords correctly. An organic search is when you search for a specific keyword or key phrases.

So Why is it important to be on the top of Google? According to Georgia Tech University about 50% of traffic comes from first two organic results. Not only have that 75% of traffic come from 1^st Page. So it is very important to be on the first page of a search engine.

The most important factor is choosing right keyword. Check out Google’s Search Based Keyword Tool to find relevant keywords for your business.

There are mainly two ways to get Search Engine Optimization.

1.    On Page Optimization

2.    Off Page Optimization

On Page Optimization: On Page optimization is what you say on your site. You need to make your site relevant to your business or niche you are focusing on. There are fairly simple ways to get on page optimization done. You can add Title, Meta Tags, Header Tags and Images Tags. On page optimization alone will not help you. You do have to build incoming links to your site and that brings to

Off Page Optimization: Off page optimization is done through link building. More incoming links you have coming in from other high authority sites it’s better for your site. Also, creating content relevant to keywords you want to get optimized for also helps and distributing this content to high authority sites will bring you lots of quality and relevant links back to your website.
